Why

Operators copying Quick Start still got placeholder upstream: "https://steam.cdn.com" and hand-wavy DNS — a running binary that is not actually in front of Steam.

What

  • Quick Start sample uses empty upstream (Host-header origin) and front-door DNS/hosts steps (lancache.steamcontent.com)
  • Document Steam CDN host-suffix allowlist for empty-upstream direct fetch
  • Configuration example matches
  • Drop leftover **NEW:** marketing fluff in Features

Test

Docs-only. Confirmed no remaining recommended steam.cdn.com sample.

Risks / rollback

Docs-only; git revert the merge commit.
